The 16th Street Mall will soon get a major renovation that will spruce up an iconic, but increasingly embarrassing part of Denver. The upgrade will make the 1.2-mile thoroughfare a better place to get around and a more enjoyable place to hang out.
As Denver considers making scooters a permanent feature on the city’s streets, their riders often abandon the little electric vehicles in the middle of sidewalk, leave them directly in front of entrances or park them in front of the ramps wheelchair users use to board trains.
